Service Description

An EAP is a confidential support service provided by an employer to assist employees with difficulties they are experiencing. Typically, these are related to family, work, addiction, financial, emotional, legal or relationship concerns. Invariably, such concerns affect performance in the workplace and employers’ benefit when they are professionally addressed. Nowadays, most EAPs are outsourced to specialist EAP providers. The Phoenix Centre can provide expert advice to employers in relation to the design, development or review of EAPs. Consultancy to corporate clients: Some organisational issues can benefit from a psychological perspective in order to establish their acceptance among victims of incidents which, unfortunately, can arise in organisations. The Phoenix Centre can provide expert advice, education or case management such as in relation to trauma response and critical incident stress management, workplace conflict mediation, investigation and resolution of bullying and harassment cases, fitness for duty assessment and the psychological impact of redundancy. Business and life coaching: The Phoenix Centre provides business and life coaching to private individuals or employees of organisations. In coaching, the focus is on facilitating the person to unlock their potential, thereby maximising their performance. The facilitating style usually challenges the coachee to find their own answers by reference to their personal values, perspectives and circumstances with a view to achieving better results in their private or job-related relationships and the competing demands and objectives in their lives.
